For the last few years, people have doubted Bolt’s performance, as he false started in the World Championships 2011, and placed second on the trials to Johan Blake. Now in the finals of the men’s 100 meters, he defended his gold with world record 9.63. Blake was second with 9.75, Gatlin was 9.79, and Tyson Gay finished with 9.80.
In the men’s tennis final, Andy Murray finally won “The Big One”. He shut out Roger Federer 6-2,6-1,6-4 to win gold in his very own country. The Williams sisters win gold in the women’s doubles.
In gymnastics, super vaulter McKayla Maroney takes silver after having a fall on the second vault. In the men’s floor exercise, China’s Zou Kai takes gold, while Hungary’s Berki Krisztian takes gold on the pommel horse.
