Samsung has just announced the new Galaxy S III in their press event in London today. First of all, let’s look at the specs, features, and design.

- Display: 4.8″ Super Amoled HD (1280 x720 pixels)
- Front facing camera: 8Mpix recording HD video
- Connectivity: HSPA+ 14.4 MBPs, 3G, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
- Battery: 2021 Mah
- Memory: 16GB/32GB
- Software: Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) & TouchWiz 4.0
With it’s new device, Samsung also announced a new voice assistant for it’s device that’s a little like Siri. It’s called “The S Voice” and here’s a direct quote from Samsung about it: “In addition to allowing information search and basic device-user communication, S Voice presents powerful functions in regards to device control and commands,” they explained in their release today. “When your phone alarm goes off but you need a little extra rest, just tell the GALAXY S III “snooze. You can also use S Voice to play your favorite songs, turn the volume up or down, send text messages and emails, organize your schedules, or automatically launch the camera and capture a photo.”
Let’s see how Samsung does with this new device. I think it will be a big hit in the U.S. just like the Galaxy S and S II. The Galaxy S III with be availible in Europe on May 29th with the release date in other countries TBD.
