Last week, I wrote about how the space shuttle Discovery would be leaving Cape Canaveral in Florida and coming to Dulles Airport. It did last Tuesday, but with Discovery’s arrival, the shuttle Enterprise was scheduled to leave D.C. and head up to New York.
Sadly, possible bad weather has delayed Enterprise from leaving D.C.
NASA officials don’t give an exact date as to when Enterprise will head to NYC, but will reschedule when the weather clears up. Enterprise will arrive in NYC like Discovery, on top of a modified Boeing 747, and will arrive at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and carried to the Intrepid Museum by barge.
The Intrepid Museum is an old aircraft carrier; Enterprise will be displayed on the deck.
